American singer-actress Demi Lovato opened up on Wednesday about the aftermath of her drug overdose in 2018.
Lovato shared the trailer of her new documentary 'Dancing With the Devil' on Instagram and captioned: "I've been holding #DemiDWTD incredibly close to my heart, and now it's time to share an inside look. This is only a short preview of what is to come... Join me on March 23 for the premiere on @Youtube 💗,".
The pop star revealed in the footage that she suffered from three strokes and a heart attack when she was hospitalized for the widely-publicized overdose that almost killed her.
“My doctors said that I had five to 10 more minutes,” she added.

The singer also revealed in a press statement that the overdose had also left her with brain damage, which she still feels its effect.
The former 'Disney Channel' child star added that she does not drive because of blurry vision that can make reading difficult.
She noted that the public did not know about her overdose and the pressures that led up to it, despite openly spoke about her addiction to drugs and alcohol in the past.
In 2018, Lovato was found unconscious at her home in the Hollywood Hills from an overdose, reportedly of opioids laced with fentanyl, a few weeks from releasing a song called “Sober”, in which she sang about relapsing after six years of sobriety.
She added that she suffered from eating disorders in the past and began using cocaine at 17.
