Defense Minister Back Home From Russia

Egypt's Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki returned back home on Wednesday, after an official visit to Russia. 

While in Russia, Zaki participated in the opening ceremony of the Army 2021 International Military-Technical Forum and the International Army Games 2021 at the Russian Armed Forces military patriotic park Patriot.

Moreover, Egypt's Defense Minister held talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu. They discussed ways to boost military cooperation between both countries, as well as the latest regional and international issues of common interest.

On his part, Shoigu pointed out to his country's keenness to boost cooperation between both states, stressing that Egypt is a pivotal country and an important strategic ally in the Middle East.
