Defense Min. Receives EU High Representative Josep Borrell

Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki met Josep Borrell the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and his accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting Egypt. 

The meeting focused on a number of issues of common concern in light of the current regional and international developments and their impact on security and stability in the Middle East. They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and military relations between the Egyptian Armed Forces and the European Defense Council.

The minister of defense affirmed his pride in the friendly relations between the Egyptian Armed Forces and the European Defense Council in various fields, pointing out to his keenness on the importance of coordinating efforts and increasing prospects for joint military cooperation in the future.

For his part, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy praised Egypt's influential and active role in its regional and international environment to lay the foundations for security and stability in the Middle East, as well as the rational Egyptian vision towards various issues of concern.
