Decent Life, Food Bank Provide Aswan with Humanitarian Aid, Foodstuffs

Decent Life Foundation sent this morning, on Saturday, dozens of trucks loaded with humanitarian aid, to Aswan Governorate, so as to distribute food and in-kind aid to citizens affected by the bad weather wave that the governorate was recently exposed to, according to a press release.

The convoys were organized in partnership with the Egyptian Food Bank.

The field monitoring teams and volunteers of the Decent Life Foundation began to gather in front of the Aswan Governorate building, as ten thousand cartons are scheduled to be distributed in the various centers of Aswan affected by the bad weather wave.

The volunteers went to the centers to distribute 1,000 food cartons in Edfu Center, and 1,000 food cartons in Wadi Al-Sa’ida, as well as distributing 1,000 food cartons in Daraw Center, 1,000 food cartons in West Aswan and Kobani centers, and finally, 500 cartons to be distributed at the Kom Ombo Center, in cooperation with the Egyptian Food Bank.

The Decent Life Foundation also directed a number of in-kind aids to the people of Aswan in coordination with the Aswan Governorate, to send all in-kind aid, including electrical appliances, furniture, and complete equipment to the affected homes.

Ten thousand cartons of food were distributed.

"Today, the first batch of electrical appliances was supplied today, which included in-kind aid such as stoves, fans, washing machines, and refrigerators. and other devices to compensate the affected families," the release read.

This announcement comes in the context of the permanent keenness of the Decent Life Foundation to provide all means of a decent life for our people across the country and to stand by them in times of crisis.

The Foundation went to monitor the needs of the affected citizens and immediately began to rebuild the damaged houses in cooperation with the concerned and partner authorities.

The Decent Life Foundation also seeks to empower citizens economically in the form of multiple development projects, in addition to providing in-kind compensation to those affected by the floods.

The Foundation will launch a number of medical convoys for the people of the governorate, including a number of relief missions, including first aid kits, blankets, and other basic materials within the framework of the efforts made by the Foundation, in cooperation with various parties, to stand by citizens in times of disasters and crises.

The Decent Life Foundation believes in the importance of community participation to provide relief to our people in all governorates of Egypt.

The Foundation had announced, through its official pages, a donation campaign for the people of Aswan to support those affected by the floods whose homes collapsed, on the Foundation’s accounts in various banks inside and outside Egypt, or by making a donation via SMS to the number 9509.

It is worth noting that the Decent Life Foundation had presented many initiatives such as the Protection Initiative, the Good and Reconciliation Train for Life initiative, and other initiatives. It also launched many convoys in various governorates since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
