The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts moderately warm weather will prevail across the country during Saturday's daylight hours.

The country also witnesses mist, extending into fog, on the agricultural and highway roads from the north of the country to Cairo, North Upper Egypt, and Central Sinai, severely limiting horizontal visibility in some parts across Egypt.

EMA added that the latest satellite images indicate the appearance of low and medium clouds over parts of North Sinai, including Arish and Rafah.

Similar cloud cover is also present over the Canal cities, Ismailia and Suez, as well as scattered areas of the Nile Delta and Alexandria Governorate, accompanied by rainfall of varying intensity.

The authority also noted that winds are expected to be active at times over Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, the northern coasts, and South Sinai.

Additionally, light rain is forecast with weak probability over parts of Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta, while light to moderate rainfall is expected over the northern coasts and the northern parts of the Delta.

It also warned of disrupted maritime navigation along parts of the Mediterranean coast starting this evening, due to strong winds and a noticeable rise in wave heights.

The disruption is expected to impact the coastal areas of Alamein, Alexandria, Beheira, Kafr El Sheikh, Damietta, Port Said, Arish, and Rafah, with intermittent effects anticipated.

The Authority stated that wind speeds are expected to range between 40 and 60 km/h, while wave heights may reach between 2.5 and 3.5 meters, conditions that could negatively affect marine navigation.

Maritime conditions are expected to be most severe during nighttime hours, with relatively improved conditions during the daytime, according to weather updates.

Therefore, the Authority urged fishermen and owners of small vessels to exercise caution, adhere to marine safety guidelines, and closely follow official weather bulletins and warnings issued by the Egyptian Meteorological Authority.

Extremely cold weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early morning.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 20°C in Cairo, 20°C in Alexandria, 20°C in Marsa Matruh, 22°C in Sohag, 23°C in Qena, and 24°C in Aswan.
