Typhoon "Doksuri" has wreaked havoc in the northern Philippines, resulting in a death toll of five, Philippine authorities announced on Thursday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration reported that the typhoon was accompanied by winds reaching a speed of 175 kilometers per hour, uprooting trees, causing power outages, and impacting 328,356 individuals in 11 regions of the country.
Additionally, two people were injured in the calamity.
The typhoon forced 26,697 people to evacuate and seek shelter in evacuation centers, while 400 houses suffered damages.
As the typhoon leaves the Philippines today, its strength is expected to slightly weaken while crossing the Taiwan Strait and making landfall near Fujian, China on Friday.
