The Philippine Council for Disaster and Emergency Management announced that the death toll from monsoon rains and floods caused by Typhoon Doksuri has risen to 29 dead, 165 were injured and 11 still missing.
More than 3 million people have been affected by the devastation caused by the typhoon across the country, while nearly 60,000 homes have been damaged. 287,000 people have been evacuated from their homes, The Philippine network, "ABS-CBN", reported today, Saturday.
The authorities stated that the losses in the infrastructure exceeded 3.6 billion Philippine pesos, and the losses in the agricultural sector amounted to 1.9 billion pesos, noting that 11 provinces, 18 cities and municipalities declared a state of disaster, while the government distributed 275 million pesos as aid to the affected ones.
