The Moroccan Ministry of the Interior announced that the number of victims of the violent earthquake that struck a number of cities and provinces of the country last Friday evening had risen to 2,681 people.
The Ministry added - in a statement - that the number of injured people reached 2,501.
The public authorities are continuing their efforts to rescue and evacuate the wounded, care for the injured victims, and mobilize all necessary capabilities to address the effects of this painful tragedy.
