The death toll from monsoon rains, flash floods, and related accidents across Pakistan since June 26 has risen to more than 700.
Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority said in a statement reported by Geo News on Wednesday that heavy rainfall in the northern regions has caused the deaths of nearly 400 people over the past five days, while emergency response teams have successfully evacuated more than 3,000 people from the affected areas.
Heavy rains and thunderstorms will continue, with at least three more waves of rain, with the next wave likely to come after August 22.
