Madagascar authorities announced that the death toll from the sinking ship off the country’s coast exceeded to 60 while more than 20 passengers are still missing.
Today, Wednesday, Agence Portuaire Maritime et Fluviale (APMF) confirmed that 64 people were killed due to the accident that happened off the northeast while 24 people are still missing.
The agency indicated that about 50 people were rescued after the wooden ship accident last Monday night. The ship did not have a license for transporting passengers. On its board was 138 passengers.
