The death toll from Hurricane Helene, which struck the southeastern coast of the United States of America, has risen to at least 215 people, making it the deadliest hurricane in the country's history since Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Many people are still missing, while hundreds of thousands of people suffer from power outages, about a week after the hurricane that swept through the states of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia, The American ABC channel reported on Friday.
Last week, Hurricane Helene made landfall in the Big Bend area of Florida as a Category 4 hurricane, with winds of 140 miles per hour.
