Death Toll from Floods in Sudan Rises to 121

The Supreme Committee for Flood Emergencies in Sudan announced that the death toll from the floods had risen to 121, while the number of those affected by the floods reached 770,000.

Noteworthy, Egypt seeks to help Sudan to overcome this crisis by sending food and humanitarian aid, under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to provide emergency aid to the people affected by the floods in the Republic of Sudan.

The Sudanese officials expressed appreciation to the Egyptian leadership and people for supporting the Sudanese people in their current crisis.

Earlier, South Sudan’s president, Silva Kiir, received Egypt’s Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aaty, and his accompanying delegation, during their official visit to South Sudan.

Kiir expressed his sincere greetings and appreciation to President Sisi, and the Egyptian people for supporting South Sudan during the crises.

On his part, the Egyptian Minister of Irrigation conveyed the greetings of President Sisi to the leadership, government and people of South Sudan.
