Tonight, Egypt's Dar Al Iftaa will start observing Ramadan's Crescent moon for the year 1445 AH.

Today marks 29 Shaa'ban which means that the crescent would indicate tomorrow as the beginning of the new month, Ramadan, or the 30th day of Shaaban.

The event of observation will take place after the Prayer of Al-Maghrib (the sunset) for 30 minutes, and the result of the observation will be announced immediately.

Previously, the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) announced that the blessed month of Ramadan will begin in Egypt on Monday, March 11. In the same context.

According to astronomical studies, the rise of the Ramadan Crescent moon will be at 11:02 am (Cairo time) on 29th Shaaban, March 10, and it will be visible in the sky for more than 12 minutes after sunset.

This means that the new crescent will exist by sunset in Cairo.

So, Sunday is expected to be the final day of Shaaban, and the beginning of Ramadan would be on Monday.
