Dar Al-Iftaa to Observe Ramadan Crescent Next Friday

The Egyptian Dar Al-Iftaa will observe the Ramadan crescent on Friday, which is known as "Yawm Al Roo'yah" (The Day of Observing the New Crescent."

According to the National Research Institute Of Astronomy & Geophysics (NRIAG), the Ramadan crescent will appear at 8:25 am on Friday. It can be spotted in Mecca and Cairo for 17 minutes after sunset.

Regarding the rest of the Muslim countries, the crescent could be spotted between 10 and 25 minutes after the sunset.

So, the first day of Ramadan is expected to be on Saturday, April 2, according to astronomical studies.
