The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates (WAAG) hosted the signing of a cooperation memorandum with Egypt’s Dar Al-Ifta, reaffirming its global role and commitment to Al-Azhar’s moderate approach.
As an institution that brings together thousands of Azhari graduates, the Organization plays a key role in maintaining and strengthening these connections.
The memorandum was signed by Prof. Abbas Shouman, President of the Organization and Secretary-General of Al-Azhar’s Council of Senior Scholars, and Prof. Nazir Mohammad Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt, President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, and a member of the Organization’s Board of Directors.
This agreement reflects the shared vision of both institutions, aiming to enhance cooperation, coordination, and joint initiatives to further their common objectives.
