The Danish Royal Court published, on Monday via its official website (Kongehuset.dk), a series of photos documenting Queen Mary of Denmark’s visit to the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, part of her official trip to Egypt.

In the images, Queen Mary is seen touring the base of the Giza Pyramids, receiving detailed explanations about ancient Egyptian civilization, and exploring the magnificent Pharaonic monuments that are among the world’s most significant cultural heritage sites.

The Queen expressed admiration for the grandeur of the pyramids and their historical and archaeological significance, which makes them one of the world’s top tourist destinations.

The visit also included a tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum in the world. Queen Mary walked through the main halls, observing exhibits that chronicle Egypt’s history over thousands of years.

This visit follows her participation on Saturday evening in the official opening ceremony of the museum, attended by numerous international and regional dignitaries.

The Danish Royal Court highlighted that Queen Mary’s visit underscores Copenhagen’s interest in enhancing cultural and tourism relations with Cairo, particularly in the fields of heritage, civilization, and cultural exchange.

The royal visit reflects the depth of Egyptian-Danish relations and both countries’ commitment to supporting collaboration in culture and tourism.

Queen Mary’s tour of the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum carries strong symbolic significance, affirming Egypt’s status as a global center of civilization and human history.

It also demonstrates the Danish royal family’s appreciation for Egypt’s cultural legacy, which continues to attract millions of visitors annually.
