Dakota Johnson, Sean Penn to Star in Movie "Daddio"

American stars Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn will star in the movie "Daddio".

Christy Hall is attached to write, direct, and produce the project, which marks her directorial debut. She previously worked on the TV series "I’m Not Okay With" as a writer and co-creator.

"Endeavor Content" will launch worldwide sales at the Cannes market with" CAA Media Finance" co-repping the U.S.

Johnson will also produce the movie along with Ro Donnelly through their "TeaTime Pictures" production company with Emma Tillinger Koskoff also producing.

The movie explores the complexities of human connection and how an encounter with a total stranger can change a person’s life.

"Daddio" is centered around a young woman, who lands at JFK airport in New York City and rides into a yellow taxi of a driver called Clark. The duo held the most unexpected conversations everything, and what starts as a light conversation becomes an intimate talk about relationships, power dynamics, loss, and vulnerability.

Johnson next appears next in the movie "The Lost Daughter". She is also currently filming Netflix and MRC’s adaptation of Jane Austen’s "Persuasion".

Moreover, Penn's latest movie "Flag Day", which also stars his daughter Dylan, is set to premiere at Cannes followed by a theatrical release on August 13.
