On Wednesday, Czech authorities dispatched a team of firefighters along with specialized equipment to assist France in dealing with floods in the northern part of the country.
Radio Prague International reported that a team consisting of 18 firefighters, accompanied by water pumps, firefighting equipment, and boats, departed for the French municipality of Saint-Omer, where their operations are expected to continue for two weeks.
The radio station explained that this assistance comes in response to France's request for European Union-level aid to tackle the floods.
