Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis announced on Sunday that the country has no current plans to join the Peace Council established by US President Donald Trump.
Speaking on Nova TV, Babis noted that any decision to join would require approval from both chambers of the Czech Parliament, making the process politically complex and sensitive.
He added that the Czech government aims to coordinate its position with other European Union member states, many of which have already ruled out joining the US-led Peace Council.
The Peace Council, proposed by President Trump, seeks to promote international conflict resolution, but several EU nations have expressed hesitation over participating, citing sovereignty and diplomatic concerns.
