Czech President Petr Pavel acknowledged the failure of the Ukrainian counterattack in an interview with the French newspaper "Le Monde."
He mentioned that the counterattack did not achieve the expected results, with minimal progress and significant losses in soldiers and equipment.
Pavel suggested that Kyiv might shift its focus to strengthening defensive positions and stressed the importance of not underestimating Russia's capabilities and resources.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously attributed the counterattack's failure to their inability to control the skies and the lack of appropriate weaponry.
