Cyprus Extends Condolences Following Catastrophic Accident in Wadi El-Natrun

On the morning of October 28, 2023, a horrific accident occurred on the Cairo-Alexandria desert road in Egypt's Beheira governorate, causing a profound ripple of sorrow and concern across nations. The tragedy resulted in the death of 32 individuals, leaving another 63 injured. The collision, involving multiple vehicles including three mass transit buses and several private cars, led to a massive fire, leaving all involved vehicles completely charred. The injured were swiftly transferred to nearby medical facilities for treatment; 53 were hospitalized at the day surgery hospital in Wadi el Natrun, seven at West el Nobaria hospital, and three received on-the-scene medical attention.

In the wake of this calamity, Cyprus expressed its deep sorrow and extended its condolences to Egypt and to all who have lost their loved ones in this dreadful event. The nation also wishes a swift recovery to those injured.
