The Cypriot foreign ministry expressed its outrage over the Israeli airstrike on the Tabeen school in Gaza City that occurred on Saturday.
In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), Cyprus emphasized the importance of upholding international humanitarian law and reiterated its support for a joint international statement on Gaza issued by the leaders of the United States, Egypt, and Qatar.
Moreover,The Palestinian embassy in Nicosia also condemned the bombing, labeling it a "massacre" and a failure of the international community.
The embassy called for Israel to be held accountable for its actions and urged the United Nations Security Council to enforce its resolutions and ensure Israel's compliance with international law.
They further urged the Republic of Cyprus to take all necessary actions to condemn and punish those responsible for the alleged war crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories.
