Cypriot Ambassador Praises Egypt's Efforts in Dealing with COVID-19

Cypriot Ambassador to Egypt Homer Mavrommatis said that the opening of the VACSERA factory complex in 6th of October city, with the aim of producing different types of vaccines in cooperation with major international companies, is a major step towards combating the emerging coronavirus

 

In press statements, the Cypriot ambassador added that Egypt has taken the right steps in dealing effectively with the Coronavirus, in terms of training and protecting health care workers, in addition to increasing the number of hospitals and intensive care units that deal with COVID-19 patients.

 

Mavrommatis hoped Egypt to vaccinate 40% of the population by the end of 2021 as planned by the government.

 

Moreover, he explained that the entire world must show solidarity and find ways of meaningful cooperation in order to overcome the challenges associated with coronavirus pandemic.
