Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem announced 17 winners of the Young Innovator State Award in the fields of literature, arts, and scientific innovations, such as mobile applications and websites.

Over 4,000 Egyptian children had taken part in the awards over four months, to show their skills and creativity in different fields

The minister said that the Young Innovator State Award is the first award allocated to children in Egypt.

Abdel Dayem’s remarks came during the celebration for the state award’s winners, in which she hailed the participation of people with special needs.

Abdel Dayem also announced that a second edition of the Young Innovator State Award will be organized in September, with further details, including new branches, to be announced soon.

The celebration was marked with an artistic celebration featuring a choral and ballet show by youngsters from the Opera Talent Development Center.

The Award is pided into two age groups, covering the five to 12 years age group as a first level, and from above 12 to 18 years as a second level.

It covers three cultural sectors, including literature for a story, poetry, and theatre; fine arts for drawing, playing musical instruments, and singing; and creativity and innovation for creating applications and websites.
