Culture Min. to Inaugurate Al Bahr Al- Azam Library

Dr. Inas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, in company of Major General Ahmed Rashed, Governor of Giza and Dr. Ahmed Awwad, Head of the General Organization of Culture Palaces, will inaugurate Al Bahr Al- Azam Library in Giza on Monday evening.

This inauguration comes as part of The Ministry of Culture's plan to increase and develop the cultural gates affiliated to the General Organization of Culture Palaces.

It is worthy of note that the library consists of three floors including an entrance hall, reception, art gallery, a children library of about 2000 books, a summer cinema, a music kiosk, an information technology hall, a public library of about 7,500 books, science and literature hall and an open roof for various cultural activities.

Furthermore, the library presents the three publications of "Qatar Al Nada -Brail" magazine issued by the organization, in addition to 100 Brail books for the blind - adults and children - distributed to the two libraries for public and children. In addition, the public library includes 1162 books donated by the family of the late critic Ali Abu Shadi.

Moreover, the library was renovated in April 2016. It is located on total area of 3000-meter squares; the building is built on an area of 370 meter squares and the rest is left as green areas. The renovation process is carried out by The National Service Projects Authority.
