Egypt's Minister of Culture, Nevin Al-Kilani, expressed her commitment to cultivating connections with Egyptian expatriates by organizing cultural events worldwide.

"Through cultural cooperation protocols, the Ministry of Culture has facilitated numerous artistic and cultural gatherings in different international cities where Egyptian communities have actively participated," said Al-Kilan.

These events include cultural meetings and seminars organized by the cultural offices in Egypt, London, and Berlin, as well as the Egyptian Academy in Rome, which have witnessed significant attendance from the Egyptian diaspora.

During her speech at the closing session of the "Egyptians Abroad" conference, organized by the Ministry of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, the Minister highlighted the Ministry's involvement in the "I Speak Arabic" initiative, which aims to encourage the use of the Arabic language. This initiative was a response to the abandonment of the language by the children of the new generations abroad.

The Minister of Culture noted that the children of the first generation of Egyptians abroad have been eager to preserve the Arabic language, and there have been no significant issues in communication between them and their motherland. "The majority of them have retained their national identity, customs, traditions, and, most importantly, their culture, language, and dialect."

She also revealed that the Ministry of Culture is considering organizing a creative cultural competition that includes various artistic and creative formats such as novels, stories, poetry, and photography. Hundreds of people from Egyptian communities worldwide have extraordinary literary talents that need to be discovered, and this competition may provide them with a platform to showcase their abilities.
