Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, attended the fascinating conclusion of the 28th Edition of Salah El-Din International Festival of Music and Sing organized by the Egyptian Opera House headed by Dr. Magdy Saber.
Over 14 evenings, nearly 130 thousand spectators enjoyed different and varied colors of Egyptian and international arts.
The event also included part of the cultural celebrations of Egypt presidency of the African Union.
The final event presented a dancing show by Sohag Folk Arts Troupe, followed by a concert for the iconic artist Omar kheirat .
Abdel Dayem said that the Citadel Festival reflects the confidence of the Egyptian citizens in the artistic and cultural content aiming at improving public taste.
She added that she followed the daily concerts, which included various age and social layers of the society and clearly demonstrated the promoted awareness of the people and their ability to face extremism and destructive ideas, stressing that the audience was the real star of the festivity.
The evening witnessed a huge crowd who enjoyed musical masterpiece selection of the magician Omar Khairat which included: Gawaysh, Masalet Mabda, Khawaja Abdul Qadir, and others.
It is worthy of note that Sohag Folk Art troupe started the ceremony with a number of artistic tableaux that presented aspects of the customs and traditions inherited from Upper Egypt.
