Abdel Dayem to Participate in World Arabic Language Day

Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem will witness tomorrow the celebrations of the World Arabic Language Day organized by the ministry's sectors represented by the Supreme Council of Culture.

The event comes within the initiative of Cultural Relations and the National Center for Translation.

She will also follows up through visual communication the activities organized by the Egyptian Academy of Arts in Rome, on December 19 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The celebrations will include the participation of a group of ambassadors of foreign countries who are fluent in the Arabic language to talk about their experience with the language of “Dhad”.

They are: the ambassadors of Indonesia, Britain, Poland, Austria, South Korea, Japan and Greece; their speech comes as part of the Cultural Relations initiative organized by the Supreme Council of Culture in cooperation with the Foreign Cultural Relations Sector.

On the other hand, the celebration of the National Center for Translation will include the screenings of the achievements of Egyptian translators rendering foreign languages into the Arabic language, in addition to an artistic performance for the Talent Development Choir team of the Egyptian Opera House.

The activities of the celebrations will also take place in the Egyptian Academy of Arts in Rome under the slogan “A Day in Love of the Arabic Language”, which will be available Online at 10 a.m.

It will begin with the introduction of the World Arabic Language Day and the reasons for choosing this day every year.
