Croatia Donates "Mi-8" Helicopters to Ukraine

Croatia has officially handed over all of its "Mi-8" helicopters to Ukraine, as confirmed by both the US and Croatian Defense Ministers.

According to Ukraine's official news agency "Ukrinform," the transfer of Croatian "Mi-8" helicopters to Ukraine was reported after a meeting between Croatian Defense Minister Mario Banožić and his American counterpart, Lloyd Austin, in Washington on Thursday.

During the meeting, Austin expressed his gratitude to Croatia for its support to Ukraine and emphasized the importance of this contribution.

He highlighted that the assistance includes all of Croatia's "Mi-8" helicopters and other military equipment.

The US Defense Secretary also commended Croatia's remarkable progress over the past thirty years. Croatia has become a fully integrated member of both the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the European Union (EU).

He emphasized the significance of diligent work and sound policies that have enabled the nation to achieve this progress.

In response, Croatia's Defense Minister praised his American counterpart for supporting joint efforts to assist Ukraine.

This donation of helicopters is a significant gesture of international cooperation and support for Ukraine, which has been facing various challenges, including regional security concerns.
