On Sunday, British Health Minister Matt Hancock said that his country is vaccinating 200,000 people daily with the COVID-19 vaccine, according to Reuters.
In press statements to the 'Sky News' website, he added that the country is preparing to increase the number to two million people per week, which is the rate required to protect the most vulnerable groups by mid-February.
"At the moment, more than 200,000 people are being vaccinated every day," the minister added.
"We have vaccinated about a third of the over 80s in this country, so we are making great progress, but there is still more expansion in this regard. We will open mass vaccination centers this week," he noted.
