Covid-19: Health Minister Participates in 3rd Phase of Clinical Trials

Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, took part in the third phase of the clinical trial for the novel coronavirus vaccine (Covid-19).

The minister received the vaccine at the Holding Company for Vital Products and Vaccines “VACSERA" headquarters, at Mohandiseen district, as part of the For Humanity initiative within the framework of cooperation with the Chinese government and the UAE health care company.

Zayed pointed out that Egypt is participating with 100 countries around the world in the third phase of clinical trials for the two vaccines for the novel coronavirus, causing the Covid-19.

She noted that the target of these experiments is 45,000 researchers worldwide, and they have been conducted on about 40,000 respondents so far.

“The vaccines have not shown any side effects so far,” Zayed stressed.

The Minister called on Egyptians to participate in clinical trials in solidarity with humanity in order to obtain vaccines as soon as their effectiveness is proven.
