News of US President Donald Trump's infection with COVID-19  on Friday drew instant reactions of shock, sympathy, and curiosity surrounding everything about the issue.

Earlier today, Trump tweeted from Walter Reed hospital that his treatment was going well.

Almost 24 hours after he tweeted to inform the world that he and first lady Melania Trump had tested positive for COVID-19 and were going to quarantine, the president tweeted: “Going well, I think! Thank you to all. LOVE!!!”

The American President was transferred Friday afternoon to Walter Reed Medical Center, to be monitored for COVID-19 symptoms.

White House spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany said earlier Friday that Trump has "mild symptoms," and was being transferred to Walter Reed Medical Center "out of an abundance of caution and at the recommendation of his physician and medical experts."

Just before leaving for the hospital, Trump tweeted an 18-second message, thanking Americans for their support.

Moreover, the physician added that the American president is "doing very well" and has not required supplemental oxygen.
