COVID-19: Egypt’s Cases Tally Surpasses 376K

On Monday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 903 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the country’s total up to 376,233.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 21, 410 nationwide after the ministry announced 49 deaths.

About 760 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 313,051.

On November 14, the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) announced the start of clinical trials for CoviVacc, the country’s first coronavirus vaccine.

The authority confirmed that the vaccine is a fruitful outcome of cooperation between the National Research Center and Vaccine Valley Company.
