On Saturday, the Court of Cassation rejected Mortada Mansour's appeal against the decree of sentencing him a month in the case filed by Al Ahly's Sports Club President Mahmoud Al Khatib.
After the pronunciation, Mansour wrote on Facebook: "The President of Al Ahly imprisoned the President of Al Zamalek," adding: "Lions never fear death, neither prison."
At the end of the statement, he thanked Al Zamalek's fans and the members of the club's general assembly.
Last August, the Economic Misdemeanors Court of Appeals pronounced a decree sentencing Mortada Mansour, president of the Zamalek Club, to one month in prison with hard labor over insulting and defaming Al Khatib.
