On Tuesday, media reports revealed that various countries will start vaccinating their residents with an extra dose of the COVID-19 vaccine amid the fearful, global outbreak of the Delta variant.

Germany has announced officially that it will provide its citizens with an extra protective COVID-19 vaccine dose to be the biggest EU country to use vaccine.

However, several EU officials criticized this step, calling developed countries to donate their extra doses to poor and developing countries.

The priority now is securing the harshly hit by the virus countries due to the huge shortage of produced quantities of the vaccines.

Also, experts until now didn't prove the significance of a third vaccine dose, on the other hand, world leaders are concerned with the mutations of the virus.

Germany will start giving fully vaccinated elders and nurseries residents, and people who have immune issues with a Moderna-vaccine dose starting from September.
