Netflix's hit show "Bridgerton" season 2 filming halted indefinitely due to a new Coronavirus outbreak on Sunday.
This is the third time the series to be shut down by the outbreak.
Earlier this month, production resumed on the second season after two positive coronavirus tests shut it down in mid-July.
In a statement on Sunday, a source revealed: “Filming has been in chaos due to Covid and bosses are hopping mad. Dramas like 'The Crown' have got their production moving without a hitch. It is embarrassing they don’t seem to be able to do the same,".
Season 2 will follow the pursuit of a suitable marriage for Daphne Bridgerton’s eldest sibling, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) as chronicled in Julia Quinn’s second book, “The Viscount Who Loved Me“.
Meanwhile, seasons 3 and 4 should follow the next two titles in Quinn’s novels “An Offer from a Gentleman” and “Romancing Mister Bridgerton”.
Season 1, set in 1800s London, followed the journey to a happily-ever-after between Bridgerton’s (Phoebe Dynevor) and the rakish Duke Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page).
The steamy historical romance has been a worldwide hit since its premiere in 2020.
