Netherlands began on Sunday implementing the first nationwide curfew since World War II; to limit the spread of the novel Coronavirus.
Citizens are prohibited from leaving their homes from 21:00 until 4:30, this measure will continue until February 9, and any violator will be fined 95 euros. This decision is the most difficult one in the country regarding the pandemic so far.
In addition, the country has banned flights from South Africa and Britain, as new strains of the Coronavirus have appeared.
The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, said that the curfew is aimed at containing more contagious variants of the virus.
