Swiss authorities announced on Sunday that strict measures would be imposed in the Swiss city of Geneva due to the outbreak of the new Coronavirus, "Covid-19".
The Swiss authorities said that they decided to close bars, restaurants, and non-essential stores in Geneva, to prevent the spread of the virus.
The government said that the situation in the country is very dangerous, stressing the closure of restaurants, bars and other entertainment centers (cinemas, museums, swimming pools, libraries, etc.), and all non-essential stores, starting from Monday evening.
The government asked the city residents not to leave their homes, except in case of extreme necessity.
The authorities justified these measures by the significant increase in the number of local cases, which recently exceeded one thousand daily.
