Egypt's Armed Forces has sent Monday to the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia a military aircraft loaded with medicine, medical supplies, disinfectants, and protective clothing, according to Military Speaker Tamer al-Refai. The supplies will help both countries to overcome the coronavirus outbreak.

"The plane was received by Egyptian Ambassador Hamdy Shaban, Deputy Congolese Foreign Minister Raymond Tshibanda N'Tungammulong, and several Congolese officials arriving in DR Congo," Refai added.

In Zambia, the aid plane was received by Egyptian Ambassador to Zambia Ahmed Mostafa, Zambia's vice president Inonge Wina and other Zambian officials.

Officials in both Zambia and the Congo expressed deep appreciation to Egypt for its assistance in helping them deal with the outbreak of coronavirus.

Prior to this, Egypt sent assistance to other countries to help them fight the pandemic.
