Johns Hopkins University announced on Saturday that more than 538.4 million people were infected with Coronavirus worldwide.

According to the university, the total cases reached 535 million and 477 thousand ones.

The total number of deaths rose to 6 million and 317 thousand.

Noteworthy, president Abdel Fattah El Sisi launched an initiative in Egypt to provide 30 million doses of vaccination against the Coronavirus to brothers in African countries, in coordination with the African Union.

In his speech at the Africa Health ExCon, Sisi said that Africa has 60% or 65% of its population young, saying: “It can be more than that too, so the future is in Africa.”

The president welcomed all the participants in the Africa Health ExCon, saying: “I welcome all the participants and the great effort that was made to make the conference in this way.”

El-Sisi addressed his speech to the discoverer of virus C, Dr. Harvey James, saying: “Allow me to offer you all greetings, appreciation and respect and thank you. I want to tell you that I am honored to have met you.

He added: “Allow me to say once again that we are in Egypt and personally, I used to see that this disease is painful. We used to suffer from it, but if there is will and hope in it, there will be an achievement in it. So I was always asking, can anyone discover Hepatitis C disease and also a cure for it.”

Sisi said that scientists who discover diseases may not be known to people, but people see their achievements and efforts, and this is something that is highly appreciated on a human and moral level.
