Coronavirus Cases Worldwide Near 271 Mln

Johns Hopkins University announced on Tuesday that more than 270.8 million people were infected with Coronavirus worldwide.

Noteworthy, Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population said in a post on its official page on “Facebook” that the Coronavirus vaccine is safe, effective, and stimulates the immune system to form antibodies that protect the body from the virus.

Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 799 new coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the country’s total up to 369,997.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 21,104 nationwide after the ministry announced 44 deaths.

About 1321 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 307,926.

Egypt has vaccinated about 47 million citizens against the deadly virus.

Egypt’s vaccination campaign began in January with priority groups and later expanded to university students. Registration for the jab is open to all
