Johns Hopkins University announced on Friday that more than 286.5 million people were infected with Coronavirus worldwide.

On Thursday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 871 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 384728 .

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 21727 nationwide after the ministry announced 32 deaths.

About 799 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 320024.

Noteworthy, Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population said in a post on its official page on “Facebook” that the Coronavirus vaccine is safe, effective, and stimulates the immune system to form antibodies that protect the body from the virus.

Egypt’s vaccination campaign began in January with priority groups and later expanded to university students. Registration for the jab is open to all.
