Coronavirus affected more than 74 million around the world, including officials and leaders, the latest of whom is French President Emmanuel Macron, as the Élysée announced, Thursday, his infection.
“In accordance with current health regulations applicable to all, the president will isolate himself for 7 days. He will continue to work and carry out his activities remotely,” the statement read.
Valéry Giscard d'Estaing
Macron was not the first in France to contract Coronavirus, as France’s former president Valéry Giscard d'Estaing died of complications from coronavirus.
Donald Trump
Us president Donald Trump tested positive for coronavirus in October. Later, the physician announced that Trump was also taking the experimental Regeneron antibody cocktail.

Boris Johnson
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was infected with Coronavirus in March, after showing signs of moderate symptoms.
Johnson was released from the hospital in April. He thanked Britain’s National Health Service, saying that it had “saved my life, no question.”

Jair Bolsonaro
In July, Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro also tested positive for Covid-19, calling it a “measly cold.” At the end of July, Bolsanaro's medical team revealed his results which indicated that the president is in good condition.
Michel Barnier
The European Commission's Head of Task Force for Relations with the UK Michel Barnier tested positive in March, becoming the first senior Brussels policymaker to get the virus. Barnier followed quarantine rules, asserting he was in "good spirits."
Alejandro Giammattei
Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei made an announcement to Sonora, a local radio station, in September, affirming that he tested positive for Covid-19.
Giammattei revealed, in October that he tested negative for the virus.
"My lungs were fine. I just felt exhausted, which is a symptom that will probably last for a few weeks," Giammattei said.
Prince Charles
Buckingham Palace announced, on March 25, that the prince had contracted the virus. After isolating himself for seven days at his residence, Charles went out to the public, via a video link, dedicating a new field hospital for coronavirus patients.
Andrzej Duda
The polish president Andrzej Duda tested, on Oct. 24, positive for Covid-19, as presidential minister Blazej Spychalski announced on twitter.
“The president yesterday was tested for the presence of coronavirus. The result turned out to be positive,” Spychalski said on Twitter. “The president is fine. We are in constant contact with the relevant medical services.”

Alexander Lukashenko
The president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko dismissed concerns about the virus as "psychosis", recommending drinking vodka to stay healthy, said in July he had contracted it himself but was asymptomatic.
Juan Orlando Hernandez
The Honduras president Juan Orlando Hernandez announced, in June, that he had tested positive for the virus. Hernandez stated that he had started what he called the "MAIZ treatment," an experimental and unproven combination of microdacyn, azithromycin, ivermectin and zinc.
Prince Albert II
The sovereign prince of Monaco Prince Albert II, 62, was the first head of state to test positive for the virus, on March 19. The palace later reported that he emerged from a 14-day period of self-isolation “in good health.”
