Coronation Services at Westminister Abbey started with the Recognition and the Oath which are among the significant stages of the coronation.
King Charles was presented to "the people" which is a tradition dating back to Anglo-Saxon times.
He stood beside the 700-year-old Coronation Chair, turned to face the four sides of the abbey and was proclaimed the "undoubted King.”
Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby made the first declaration. The subsequent declarations were represented by the Lady of the Garter and the Lady of the Thistle who are representing the oldest orders of chivalry in England and Scotland respectively.
Shortly, the crowd chanted "God Save the King!"
Shortly, the archbishop started the Coronation Oath as he asked King Charles III to confirm that he will preserve the law and the Church of England during his reign, and that the King will place his hand on the Holy Gospel.
The King had another oath which is the Accession Declaration Oath.
