Tonight, Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese will lead the Christmas Mass for Egyptian Coptic Christians at the Cathedral of Nativity of Christ in the New Administrative Capital.
The bells of the cathedral will ring at 7:00 pm (Cairo time) to announce the beginning of the Christmas celebrations.
Pope Tawadros will lead the parade of the deacons that will perform the hymns of Christmas.
The prayer will be attended by various officials who will present their congratulations and best wishes for a merry Christmas.
The Pope will also deliver a speech on Christmas during the celebration.
Pope Tawadros II is set to receive more officials at the Coptic Orthodox Church headquarters in Abbasiya to congratulate him on Christmas.
