Congolese Prime Minister (PM) Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde, heading a high-level delegation is set to arrive in Cairo later today, Tuesday.

Lukonde is scheduled to hold talks with the Egyptian officials and investors that will focus mainly on the Egyptian involvement in the construction of the Congolese Administrative Capital Project.

Last week, Egypt’s Irrigation Minister Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aty returned home, after wrapping up a successful visit to Kinshasa, Congo.

In a press statement, Abdel Aty said that he held a series of meetings with a number of Congolese senior officials, during which he discussed ways to boost cooperation between both countries in the water management field and means to achieve common interests for the benefit of the citizens of the two countries.

Moreover, the Egyptian minister took part in the inauguration of ‘The Rain and Climate Changes Forecast Centre’ in Kinshasa.

The centre is specialized in studying and following up on climate changes, and it will play a key role in protecting Congolese people from many climatic disasters and sudden floods.
