“Confrontation Theater Project” to Roam in Cairo, Other Governorates

For the second year, theater of confrontation- which is one of the activities of the strategy aimed at achieving cultural justice among the people of the south - continued its steps to restore the enlightenment role of Theater, in the provinces, to build human and develop society.

Dr. Inas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, said that the first season of “The theater of Confrontation” and “Roaming Theater” proved its effectiveness to open new horizons and highlight the artistic message as the fastest way to put values and ethics on the right track.

She noted that the second season stresses the belief in the role of creativity in the formation of conscience, adding that the project has succeeded in attracting thousands of viewers from different social layers and age especially young people.

It is noteworthy that the confrontation Theater is implemented by The Artistic House of Theater headed by artist Ismail Mukhtar, in cooperation with a number of national institutions:- The General Organization of Culture Palaces, Cultural Development Fund, Ministry of Youth And Sports, Ministry of Higher Education, the institution of civil society and others.

The second season activities began with presenting the play “ Awld Al- balad” produced by the modern Theater Troupe, in addition to 29 theatrical nights in the governorates of Sohag, Luxor, Red Sea, from July to August.

62 theatrical night of the Roam in South Sinai in the cities of Nuweiba, Dahab, Sharm El-Sheikh, Abu Zenima, Al-Tur – will run from 1 October to 1 November, in Al- Minya from 1 to 15 December and in Assiut from 16 to 30 December.
