The commander of the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, said that the fighting with the Sudanese army will not end unless all military headquarters are taken over, stressing that the current events will lead to a peaceful solution.
Dagalo said in statements to the Al-Jazeera channel today, Saturday, after clashes broke out with the Sudanese army in Khartoum and other areas, "The fighting will not stop until all military headquarters are taken over, and the current events will lead to a peaceful solution and will end with minimal losses."
The commander of the Rapid Support Forces considered that "The Sudanese army declared war a few days ago at the leadership meeting, but we agreed to reduce the escalation."
He explained that the clashes erupted "after we were surprised by large forces today besieging our forces in the land of the camps and closing the streets and bridges."
Daglo confirmed that the Rapid Support Forces "tried to take over the airports because the Sudanese army is trying to target the Rapid Support Forces through them."
