The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts moderately cold weather to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and North Coast, during daylight hours on Monday.
Moderately hot weather is also predicted to hit South Sinai and South Upper Egypt, while North Upper Egypt will experience moderate weather.
Snow is also foreseen to form on Mount Moses and Saint Catherine's heights. Frost is expected in some regions of central Sinai.
There are chances of light to moderate rain prevailing intermittently in the North of Lower Egypt and the North Coast.
Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience low to moderate waves, ranging between 1 and 1.75 meters in height with northwestern surface winds.
Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent, ranging between 1.5 and 2.5 meters in height with northwestern surface winds.
Moreover, cold weather is also expected to prevail in most parts of the country, at night.
Extremely cold weather is also expected to hit the south of the country.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 17°C in Cairo, 16°C in Alexandria, 15°C in Marsa Matruh, 19°C in Sohag, 22°C in Qena, and 22°C in Aswan.
