Rhodes had his in-ring debut against Seth Freakin' Rollins who fought a lot for having a contest in WrestleMania. Rollins was told by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon that he will have a contest against an anonymous opponent that will be announced before the match immediately.

After his victory over Rollins, Rhodes had emotional moves in the ring and he kissed the ground as a reference that he returned home again.
The American Nightmare expressed in an interview after the show that he loves pro wrestling, and he returned to approve Mr. McMahon that he is the best wrestler in the world.
